The brief

What really appealed to us about this project was Josh himself. We love working with young entrepreneurs who are prepared to get stuck in, learn their trade and build something of their own. JJW isn't trying to be a big bike shop — it's a personal, local service where bikes are properly inspected and repaired, and perfectly serviceable components aren't replaced just for the sake of adding something to the bill.

Josh already had the foundations of a great local business. What he needed was a website that made JJW look as professional online as the service he was providing in the workshop.

The site needed to immediately explain what JJW does, what it costs and how customers can get their bike repaired without making things complicated. We also wanted Josh's approach to come through clearly — one of the things that makes JJW different is the philosophy of repairing before replacing wherever it's safe and practical to do so.

What we did

We built a clean, modern website around the way Josh actually runs the business. Rather than filling it with unnecessary pages and marketing waffle, we concentrated on the things a customer actually wants to know: what services are available, how much they cost, what sort of repairs Josh undertakes and how quickly they can get their bike sorted.

We created clear service packages covering standard, full and premium servicing, alongside information about individual repairs including brakes, gears, drivetrains, cables, bearings, hydraulic systems, punctures and general bike servicing.

Collection and return is also built into the proposition — customers who can't easily get their bike to Josh can arrange collection and have it returned once the work is finished. The quote process was another important part of the build: customers can explain what's wrong with their bike, upload a photograph and request collection directly through the website, giving Josh the information he needs before the bike even arrives.

Technology & integrations

Digital Footprint Platform
The website is built on our Digital Footprint platform, giving JJW a fast, modern online presence designed around a growing local business.

Online Quote System
A dedicated quote form allows customers to provide details of their bike and the problem, upload photographs and request collection and return where required.

Local Search
The website has been structured around JJW's core market in Taunton, helping people searching locally for bicycle servicing and repairs find the business and quickly understand what's on offer.

The result

JJW now has a website that feels like the business Josh is building: straightforward, professional and personal. Customers can see prices upfront, understand exactly how the service works and request a quote without having to spend ages going backwards and forwards.

For us, though, this was also one of those projects we particularly enjoy. There's something great about seeing a young entrepreneur take an idea, turn it into a real business and start building a reputation locally. Josh is doing exactly that with JJW Bicycle Repairs, and we're really pleased to be playing a small part in helping him grow it.

Straightforward repairs. Fair prices. No fuss.
